You!

It was a Monday morning, people started to head to work, it seemed like a usual day.  For one business though, as staff started to arrive, they found a note on the entrance door that stated “Yesterday, the person who has been holding back your development has passed away. We invite you to join us for visitations in the conference room.”  At first, everyone was sad, the loss of a colleague is never easy to handle.  After a while though, people started to become curious as to who this person was in which was slowing their development.

As the employees started to gather in the conference room, the casket opened.  Employees tried to peak into the coffin from afar to see who this person actually was.  One by one, the employees got closer to the coffin, when they arrived, they looked inside and became speechless.  Shocked and in silence, as if someone touched the deepest part of their soul.  What was inside the coffin was a mirror.  It was placed in a manner to reflect the person looking in.

Beside the mirror was a sign that said, “There is only one person who is capable of setting limits to your growth and development: that person is YOU.”  You are the only person who can revolutionize your life.  You are the only person who can influence your happiness and beliefs and your successes.  You are the only person who can help YOU.  Your life does not change when your boss, friend, partner or company changes.  Your life changes when YOU change.  Go beyond your limiting beliefs, when you realize that you are the only one responsible for your life.

One of the most important relationships you can have in your life is with yourself.

This is a story that has been around for many years, I changed it a bit but the moral of the story is mainly intact.  The world truly is a mirror.  It will give you back the reflection of thoughts in which you strongly believe in.  The world and your reality are like the mirror in the coffin, It is the way you face life that makes the difference.
